Baby it's cold outside!!!!

Holy Cow! Winter has arrived with a bang! And early to boot! We have about 3/4 of an inch of ice outside. Over 60,000 people without power (we are not included in that #. Thank God!!!). School has been out for the entire week due to the power outage. It looks like a war zone and they have called in the troops!!! So much for shade in the Summer. We have lost about 5 trees. I am talkin' about 100 year old trees. Unbelievable!!! And, as if that isn't enough, we are supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow on Friday. CRAZY!!!! What is even more crazy is that after living on my own for 12 years, I am temporarily sharing a living space with my parents. Good times to be had by all!

Back in the saddle again!

Well I did it! You know the dreaded exercising! I have decided I am not waiting until the first of the year to start. It is time now. I need to be healthy now. So I figure while most people will be getting started I will be seeing results already.

I still have not had the time to use my new toy! Isn't that wrong??? I think I should just forget about all the things that need to be done and just do it! Don't you all agree?!?!?!?!? Maybe tomorrow! :(

Black Friday Madness!

Well I survived! I also came out smelling like a Cricut!!!! My darling hubby bought me a Cricut! I am so excited. It was one of the things at Wal-mart. I couldn't believe it. He was so excited that he couldn't wait to give it to me. I was ecstatic. He got the last one they had. For those of you that don't brave Black Friday, I challenge you to re-think your position!!! You can get some great things for great prices.
Well, I am off to try to create something with my new toy!!!

It's been awhile!

Puppy Love

Please welcome our new addition! This is Scamp! Is he not the cutest puppy you have ever seen??? He is a Bassett/Beagle mix. The kids adore him and he fits right in!
He is playful yet calm. I found him yesterday at Barnyard Days. He was just calling my name and I couldn't pass him up. Wesurprised the kids. They are so excited!

Happy October!

Hey all! In honor of the first day of October I thought I would post my first artwork picture! This is a mini albumn that I created to sell on Etsy! (I think!) I hope you all like it. I am just so excited about this month! We have lots of fun things to do! Next weekend is my very most favorite craft show. Barnyard Days! It is so much fun. There is so much shopping and food and lots of things for the kids to do! We also have our annual fall party the weekend after that. Followed by my BIL and SIL's Halloween party! FUN!FUN!FUN!!!!!!! Happy Friday!!!

Happy Friday to everyone. Can you believe how fast this week went by? I can't. Maybe it is because I am 3o now, but time sure is going by quickly!!!
Can you believe that Monday is October???? Where did September go? Next thing you know it is going to be Christmas break.
Well, believe it or not, I don't have much to say tonight. I hope you have a wonderful fun filled weekend. If you all need me, I will be burried in silk fall leaves and garlands and all things fall!

Paper Crafts Magazine

I got my Paper Crafts in the mail today! I am so excited!!! There is nothing like getting a brand new magazine in the mail is there????? LOL! Every month I patiently wait for a new copy of : Country Home, Country Living, Cottage Living, Coastal Living ( and I don't even live near a coast mind you!!! LOL!!!), Southern Living, ME Home Companion and last but not least, Prevention( I need to be healthy you know!!!!)

I hope you all enjoy a the preview of the cover. I would show the inside, but I am pretty sure that may be illegal in ALL 50 States! HA! HA!

Happy Fall Y'all

It is the first day of Fall! I am so excited! I can't wait to get out all the fall decorations.
Next Friday, I will be taking my class to a pumpkin patch. Can you believe that next week it will already be October. I can't! It seems like September just began. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. It just seems that time flies. I suppose that would be due to turning 30. I think I may have lost me memory!!!! LOL!!!!!

Just 4 more days

I can't believe it! It is just 4 more days until my 30th birthday! Time goes by so fast. I am not depressed as some may assume. I am actually looking forward to it. One more year older means one more year I am alive. I am going to celebrate life on my birthday. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Rain, rain go away!!

It's raining cats and dogs (sorry Daisy Mae!) It has been raining here since Thursday! I feel like we are in Seatle! I shouldn't be complaining. The more rain we get, the more beautiful the leaves will be when they begin to turn!
After being stuck inside all day I feel I need a break from the ole house cleaning! YUCK! Might have to get some creativity flowing. I hear my paper crafting supplies calling my name. I think I am going to head that way and answer them. I will try to post what I create!

Fall time is near!!!!

Well it is that time of year again! Time to get out those warm, cozy sweaters and jeans! It's time for autmun colored throws for the couch! It is time to curl up next to your loved ones and watch a nice movie while sharing popcorn and snuggling up close to each other.
Can you smell the scent of burning wood coming from the neighbors fireplace? Feel the crunch of the beautiful fresh fallen leaves beneath your feet! Can you see the beautiful crystal blue of the sky? I can! This is my favorite time of year! I am so excited I can barely contain myself! Are you excited?

An awesome day!

What an amazing day! We went to my BIL's house and had a cookout! It was alot of fun. He just recently married Kimber. She is wonderful and we all love her!
Anyhow, her family came as well. It was very nice getting to know all of them. The kid's went swimming in the pool and the guys shot off some fireworks. I was just so happy to everyone having such a great time together. I think this is the beginning of something special.

Last night my in-laws kept Jalin and Will. We had a nice evening. At around 10pm we were outside laying on the trampoline just talking. It was nice to spend some quality time together. It's funny how we never have the chance to just talk when the kids are home. It was nice just being together!

Starbucks!!!!!

There's ALWAYS something happening at The Bucks (they like to keep busy). This week they're rolling out some fun new things. First, they've got all sorts of new raspberry-ish items. The standout is their Raspberry Mocha Frappuccino Light (180 calories, 1g fat for a Tall). And they're expanding their lunch menu, too. Some of the stuff is not exactly guilt-free (shocker...NOT!) but there are some calorie-friendly options -- and here they are, listed below:
Fiesta Salad (320 calories, 10g fat) - Complete with white meat chicken, roasted corn, black beans, salsa and more!
Strawberry Banana Yogurt Parfait (340 calories, 4g fat) - Low-fat yogurt, bananas and strawberries -- with crunchy granola.
Peachy Raspberry Yogurt Parfait (320 calories, 4g fat) - Diced peaches an d raspberry puree, topped with low-fat yogurt and granola.
It's nice to see more diet-friendly items squeezing their way onto the Starbucks menu, isn't it?!

Just another Sunday!

I went antiquing today! It was so much fun! I enjoyed just hanging out by myself looking through stuff. It was very nice. I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without though. I am always on the lookout for that special something. It has to be a pretty special item for me to buy it right away. Otherwise, I hesitate. Sometimes I will go back later and buy it if it still there. A risky move really. Anyhow, I hope your Sunday was as peaceful as mine.

Finally! Blogging!

Hi All! It has been a crazy day! We went to see the movie Surf's Up! It was pretty cute. The kids really enjoyed it. We met with some friends and just hung out. It was fun. I guess that is what your weekend consists of when you are a parent and almost 30. Anyhow, hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting!
